Our Privacy Policy
At HeyIMissYou, we strive to develop innovative services to better serve our users. We recognize
that privacy is an important issue, so we design and operate our services with the protection
of your privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information we
gather when you use HeyIMissYou services, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard it.
Information We Collected
- Our service require you to register for a membership account in order to create IMissYou profiles.
HeyIMissYou asks you for some personal information in order to create an account (typically your name,
email address and a password for your account, etc...) and we will use that information to provide the
service. We request credit card or other payment information which we maintain in encrypted form on
secure servers. We do not store or save any of your credit card or other payment information.
- When we require personally identifying information, we will inform you about the types of
information we collect and how we use it by indicating what information is displayed publicly and
what information is private. We hope this will help you make an informed decision about sharing
your personal information with us.
- When you register for a membership account, you will have the option to supply information about
yourself as well as information about people in your IMissYou profile. Your private information
will not be shared with anyone without your permission.
- If you choose to use our "Send a IMissYou profile a to Friends" or "Tell A Friends" service,
we will ask you for your name and e-mail address as well as your friend's name and e-mail address.
HeyIMissYou uses this information for the sole purpose of sending a one-time e-mail to your friend.
- We use clear GIFs in our HTML-based e-mails to let us know which e-mails have been opened by
recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness
of our marketing campaigns.
Confidentiality and Security
- We limit access to personal private information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need
to come into contact with that information to provide services to you or in order to operate, develop or
improve our services.
- We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to
protect personal private information about you.
- We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized
alteration, disclosure or destruction of data.
- Your password is set at a minimum of five characters, which provides added protection for your
Personal Private Information. On secured pages, this site uses SSL encryption up to 128-bits.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
- HeyIMissYou may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat
personal private information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your HeyIMissYou account
or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
Sharing your Information
- We do not rent or sell your personally identifying information to other companies or individuals,
unless we have your consent.
- We provide such information to trusted businesses or persons for the sole purpose of processing
personally identifying information on our behalf, mainly credit card processing. When this is done, it is subject
to agreements that oblige those parties to process such information only on our instructions and in compliance with
this Privacy Policy and appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
- We conclude that we are required by law or have a good faith belief that access, preservation or disclosure
of such information is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of HeyIMissYou, its users or
the public.
- If you have an account, we may share the information submitted under your account among our
service in order to provide you with a seamless experience and to improve the quality of our
services. Any information indicated a private and will not be disclose. We will not disclose your private
account information to other people or non-affiliated companies or in IMissYou profiles, except in the
limited circumstances described in this Policy or with your consent.
- In the event of a transfer of ownership of HeyIMissYou, such as acquisition by or merger with
another company, we will provide notice before any personally identifying information is transferred
and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Updating your Information
- We provide mechanisms for updating and correcting your personally identifying information for our service.
- You have access to and can edit the Personal Information that we have collected from you, including your account
preferences, at any time.
- You can maintain your Contact Information by logging onto the Web site with your username and password. You can
specify the information that is contained in your account profile and also control how your information is shared
with others.
Children's Privacy
- HeyIMissYou service and Web sites are not intended for and may not be used by children under the age of 18.
HeyIMissYou does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18 and HeyIMissYou does not target
its service and Web site to children under 18.
